I hate waste. It’s £15.50 for this reusable, washable, forever straw you can take anywhere on your key ring but I’ve ordered one because I absolutely hate what drinking straws do to animals and the environment when we just throw them away.
Yes, that’s a lot of money for one straw but how many straws have you already gone through in your entire life? How many of those do you imagine might have killed or maimed animals or ended up in the oceans or in the ground? Either get a reusable straw or stop using straws altogether. Paper ones aren’t often acceptable alternatives because they can be coated – in a thin layer of plastic!
